FAQ
Is it really free?
Yes, for files up to 30 minutes: 1 a day without an account, 3 a day with a free account. No card. Longer files get their first 30 minutes free.
What happens with a 2-hour file?
We transcribe the first 30 minutes free and keep the file for up to 24 hours. Buy the full file in that time and we transcribe the rest — no new upload. The full file is US$5, one-time.
Will I be charged again?
Not for a Week Pass: it's one payment for 7 days and doesn't renew. Pro renews monthly or yearly until you cancel.
Can I use it for work and expense it?
Yes. Free and paid plans can be used for work. After each payment, Stripe emails a receipt to the address on your account. It shows the date and the amount in US dollars. Need an invoice with your company name or tax number? Write to us through the contact page, and we'll send one within 2 working days. Whether you can expense it is up to your employer or your tax adviser.
Do you have speaker labels?
No. Transcripts are plain text and subtitles, without who-said-what labels.
