We delete your file once it’s transcribed (within 24 h for a preview). No sign-up needed.
How to get your Google Meet recording file
- 1
The recording must have been started during the meeting. Recording is available on eligible Google accounts.
- 2
After the meeting, the organizer and the person who started the recording get an email with a Drive link.
- 3
The file is saved in the organizer's Google Drive, in a folder called Google Meet, in a sub-folder for each meeting. Older recordings may be in a folder called Legacy Meet Recordings.
- 4
In Drive, select the file, click More (three dots), then Download. Or open the link from the email and download from there.
- 5
Upload the MP4 in the box above. Your first file needs no sign-up.
What you get
Full text transcript
Copy it, or download TXT or SRT (SRT adds timestamps).
99 languages
The language is detected automatically, so non-English calls work too.
Files up to 2 GB
First 30 minutes free; the whole file (up to 3 h) US$2.
Deleted after processing
Your file is deleted from our storage after processing, and we don't store transcripts. If you take the free 30-minute preview of a longer file, we keep that upload for up to 24 hours so you can finish it without uploading again.
TranscribTxt: upload a Google Meet recording (MP4 from Drive), first 30 min free, US$2 per file up to 3 h, 99 languages, no bot joins your meeting.
TranscribTxt does not label who is speaking; the transcript is one continuous text, and SRT adds timestamps.
Meet's own transcript or an upload?
Google Meet's own transcript is created during the call on eligible plans, and only if someone turned it on. Ours is useful when you only have the recording (or it was recorded without a transcript), for non-English calls, when you need SRT, or when you are not on a plan with Meet transcripts.
